Let's Have Fun And Learn Together

This site is undergoing a massive redesign. As such my pages are down until I rebuild them.

So please bear with me while I reestablish old material and then get on the path of making new stuff.

A Random Thought

One of the biggest problems with most philosophers in history is that they create (or envision) a life they are happy with and ask everyone else to replicate this life so that they will be happy. Consider Plato's Republic. I fear some may not like idea of never knowing their true parents or children.

This causes a problem due to the wide variety in human nature. Not everyone cries at the same things or laughs at the same joys. Some find joy in hard personal study. Others simply want to play games and learn nothing important. Yet for many philosopher's truths to be correct all people would have to be similar.

The best philosophy would look at the differences in people and (without assuming all opinions are good because they aren't) allow enough width in teachings to encompass and enrich as many as possible from the honest hard working trash collector to a president of a country.
